Foundation ivi delivers its international prize to professor Paul Devroey in the last night of the congress.
The award is endowed with 24,000 euros sponsored by Organon.
The Fundación del Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad delivered last night in a dinner, in the gardens of the Hotel Juan Carlos I de Barcelona, the Second International IVI Fundation Award to professor Paul Devroey, by being the candidate to this reward with the greatest number of clinical works, signed as first or last author, with a total of 24 articles.
Professor Devroey is the current director of the Center of Reproductive Medicine of Brussels and is a figure recognized worldwide for his scientific discoveries as was that of iICSI: intracytoplasmic sperm that can fertilize an egg with just one live sperm.
The prize of 24,000 euros and sponsored by Spanish Organon, was delivered by Adriaan Ruijs -CEO of the pharmaceutical- in the last dinner of the 2nd International Congress IVI to a total of more than one hundred guests among the numerous professionals of reproductive medicine from the entire world, Delegada de Salud Pública del Ayuntamiento de Barcelona, Isabel Ribas.
The Congress, that ends this half-day has been the scene of presentation of the last investigations in assisted reproduction before a public of more than 800 people. The IVI, the first Spanish clinic integrally dedicated to the Assisted Reproduction, counts on clinics in Valencia, Alicante, Almería, Barcelona, Bilbao, Castellón, Madrid, Murcia, Seville, Vigo, Lisbon, Mexico D.F. and Santiago de Chile, with a high percentage of success in their treatments and with a high development of the research in assisted reproduction.
